However, this date is not set in stone and for that reason we will not be taking any bookings until we have a solid reopening date.

Clients that had appointments cancelled during the current lockdown period will be contacted first and will have priority booking. Once those appointments have been made, we will be taking phone calls for new bookings. If you did not have an appointment booked but would like one please send us an email with your name, telephone number and desired treatment and we will add you to our waiting list.


  You can still contact us by email or via our social media accounts while we are closed. We are still open online for vouchers and products. If you wish to purchase any products or have any questions please send us an email.

All vouchers will be extended for the length of time we are closed, so no one misses out.

Covid-19 Salon Procedures and Protocols

When entering the spa, you will need to follow these guidelines stated below.

  1. All appointments must be attended alone. If you require a chaperone, then please make us aware of this when booking your appointment (our double treatment room will be available for same household clients or members within your ‘bubble’).

  2. No walk-in’s, strictly by appointment only. If you wish to purchase products or vouchers, please order in advance and we will arrange contactless collection.

  3. Please arrive to your appointment 5 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out the coronavirus consultation form before entering the spa at your given appointment time.

  4. One of our staff members will take your temperature and then invite you in to wash your hands.

  5. At this point you will fill in our track and trace book.

  6. A face covering must be worn while visiting the spa and can only be removed if you are having a treatment that requires you to do so once in your treatment room.

  7. Once all of the above have been successfully passed your therapist will take you to your treatment room or manicure/pedicure station and your treatment will begin.

Things will be slightly different, but you will still receive our usual 5-star service.

We have changed the lay out of the spa slightly to adhere to social distancing rules so for the time being we have had to turn our relaxation room into a manicure room but as soon as we can safely use the relaxation room again, we will.

We will be accepting cash payments but ask you to use a contactless payment method where possible.

At the Reading Room Day Spa sanitisation and cleanliness has always been a top priority for us as a company but since the Covid-19 outbreak we will be putting extra measures in place to protect our staff and customers. Our staff will be wearing full PPE which will include a visor, mask and aprons. All high touch areas will be cleaned hourly and all treatment surfaces will be thoroughly sanitised between every client. All customers will need to fill in our Coronavirus Consultation Form when they arrive at the spa and we will also have a track and trace system keeping a record of everyone that enters the spa, this information will be kept for 21 days then shredded.

Due to the addition of PPE we will be adding a cost of £2 to each appointment or £3 if you need to purchase a mask to cover the costs.
